Rick Long

Hi, my name is Rick Long. My wife Cynthia and I first visited East Tennessee in the spring of 2015, which led us to purchasing our home in Tellico Plains, Tennessee in July of 2015.

I have been blessed enough to establish myself as an honest, ethical, and detailed professional. Having made my living in the Oil refineries in Southern California, I have grown to be flexible and responsive to the quickly changing demands of the world. This education has given me the well-rounded foundation and perspective for buyer, budgets, needs and long-term goals.

I am thankful I can now utilize those assets in the real estate industry and its customers.

Having retired from our professions, my wife and I could have moved anywhere in the US, but chose Tellico Plains and the answer to why, is easy. The four seasons we get to experience here are absolutely beautiful. We love how friendly the people here are, and who wouldn’t want a calm lifestyle where we can focus on spending quality time with our family?! Our grandchildren very much enjoy spending time on the boat, fishing, going mudding on the mule, playing around on the quads and dirt bikes, catching frogs in the pond, and chasing chickens around. Here, we get to experience it all, and we wouldn’t look back.

Spending most of my life with the hobby of truck racing, even competing in the Baja 500 as a crew chief, I’ve learned to adapt to new challenges. I even taught myself a new way to safely drive with my hand on top of the steering wheel, so I could wave back to all our fans while driving.
